The level of residue in and on crops harvested for food must be clearly established following applications
by professional biology scientists of the commercial formulations under production conditions in all areas of commercial production
of each commodity on the pesticide label [or proposed label]. This food safety regulation applies to food produced in the developed
northern hemisphere countries, as well as food produced in other countries and imported into the developed countries of Europe, theUSA and Canada.
Each field research firm's personnel are trained, certified and registered users
of iAdvantage eFTN [electronic field trial notebook].The biological data is entered into the eFTN at the field site and is immediately
available in iAdvantage Project Management Assistance [PMA] software for review by Global Ag’s project managers, study directors,
and QA and for data compilation and reporting.
Biological residue studies / trials conducted in under developed countries for commodities imported into northern hemisphere countries
are typically referred to as “import tolerance” studies or trials. These crop residue regulations apply to processed fractions,
as well as to the raw agricultural commodity of the target and rotation crops.
With its global network of certified field research
firms, Global Ag provides uniform testing services in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa and Asia, while providing appropriate
data delivery according to local bio-safety and governmental regulatory authorities, such as the EU, OECD, EPA, and PMRA. Some
of the research firms are owned by Global Ag; most are not, but are certified by Global Ag as first class, GLP Compliant organizations
staffed with highly qualified, experienced scientists. All facilities are continually monitored as trials are in progress and
are audited by the Global Ag quality assurance unit as necessary to insure best results. All fractions are analyzed for parent and
metabolites by carefully selected analytical laboratories.
