Global Ag personnel have developed relationships and knowledge of the capabilities of GLP Compliant processing analytical and toxicology labs in Europe and North America. All facilities are continually monitored as trials are in progress and are audited by the Global Ag Quality Assurance Unit as necessary to insure best results.
Global Ag project managers and study directors have hands-on experience working with GLP Compliant labs in managing and conducting over 95 metabolism trials, over 12,100 crop residue trials, over 535 important tolerance trials and over 54 E-Fate studies, as well as many Toxicology/Exposure and Ecotoxicology studies. For a clientís study, labs are selected based on the following:
Processing Labs - Selected based on the labs geographic proximity to the field biology trials, experience, and capability with a given commodity, time and space availability and cost.
Processing of the raw agricultural commodity may concentrate any residue of parent material or metabolites in the individual fractions produced in processing. Therefore, regulatory guidelines often require separate analysis of processed fractions to allow concentration factor calculation. To provide these fractions that are equivalent to commercial process fractions, GLP-compliant research-based food processing laboratories provide small batch processing.
Analytical and Toxicology Labs - Selected based on the labsí [and individual scientistsí] experience with the particular chemistry, capability with a given study type, time and space availability, and cost.
Metabolism Labs - Labs for Total Radioactive Residu (TRR) and metabolite indentification are selected based on the labs' experience with the particular isotope, the chemistry, time and space availability, and cost.
For the analysis and characterization phase of 14C metabolism studies each facility is appropriately licensed and inspected for proper handling and disposition of radio labeled material.
