Dr. Allan Wenck

IP and Patent Law

Allan has over 25 years of experience in the Agricultural Biotechnology field. His career spans the development of successful delivery platforms, from concept to event delivery, for novel traits. Notably, he has introduced novel traits to the market while working with companies like BASF, Bayer, and Syngenta. Beyond his technical expertise, Allan is well-versed in intellectual property protection strategies and patent analysis. 

His educational journey includes a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies with a concentration in environmental chemistry from Warren Wilson College, a MS in Life Sciences with a focus on plant physiology and genetics from The University of Tennessee, a PhD in Biological Sciences with a specialization in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology from The University of South Carolina, post-doctoral work in Forest Biotechnology at NC State, and a JD from North Carolina Central University with a focus on intellectual property.
